About simHeaven

simHeaven.com is a privately owned website offering downloadable packages for use in flight simulator X-Plane, the advanced flight simulator for professionals, available for Windows, Mac and Linux.

simHeaven provides sceneries and other content to give pilots, student pilots, and sim pilots a significantly more realistic flying experience. This enhances training, and pilots can easily practice for

  • VFR and IFR approaches,
  • emergency preparedness,
  • improving navigation skills,
  • exploring and learning new airports/regions,
  • simply flying for fun.

IFR approach

For a long time (since 2011), simHeaven was a one-man project, just me (Armin), starting with the osm2xp and ortho packages for X-Plane 10. For X-Plane 11 and X-Plane 12, I received support from few developers who created objects and optimization tools. Now – at the end of 2025 and with the upcoming X-WORLD Pro – we are assembling an excellent team of various developers (in alphabetical order):
